Cardinal Fencing Academy May Newsletter: Getting ready for Nationals and International Potluck Night

Updated: May 10, 2019

Dear fencing friends,

It's barely believable that we are less than two months away from the conclusion of 2018-2019 Season! It has been a pleasure and CFA is gearing up for the National Championships in Columbus, Ohio over the long July 4th weekend.

We are super proud of all the qualifiers, go CFA! Register for Nationals here, the deadline is May 15th.

Nationals Coaching sign up here.

Please join us for one of the two Nationals prep camps: June 24th through 26th for Kids 13+ and July 1st through July 3rd for our younger group. The prep camps are open to all our competitive fencers.

The first week of the beginner summer camps has only four slots left, so if this is your first year fencing and you are thinking about summer plans, please sign up soon as they are projected to be sold out. The kids really enjoy it as the competitive teens assist coach and bring a lot of positive energy to the beginner's summer program.

Our next potluck and Friday Night Fights are May 17th at 7pm. Click here to sign up to bring a dish.

All Friends and Family of fencers are invited, this is a great way to meet the rest of the team and get to know each other without the evening rush. The International Dish theme should be especially interesting because we have such a wonderfully diverse club.

The tournament matrix has been updated. We highly encourage our Women's Epeeists born before 2006 to attend the Amazon Open.

Our new beginner sessions start May 11th at 9am. Inaki and Alex have been doing great with all the new kids and it was awesome to see some of them participate in their first tournament last weekend! Pictures here.

See everyone at practice, have a wonderful rest of the week!
