While in Kazan, Russia for the 2021 Epee World Cup I ran into my old friend Luigi Mazzone, an excellent fencer and interesting all around person. Currently he's working as a psychology coach with the Italian National Team so he introduced me to Sandro Cuomo, the Italian Men's Epee coach. We talked, and it is with extreme pleasure I announce our Elite Summer 2021 Camp August 16th to 20th. Registration here.
Our confirmed roster so far includes the following highlights:
Coach Sandro Cuomo: Team gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics and a team bronze at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He is also three-time team world champion. He is currently the director of épée at the Italian Fencing Federation. His students have had numerous appearances on International podiums in European Championships, World Championships and World Cups.
Valerio Cuomo: Winner of the Junior World Cup (2017) and twice Silver Medalist at the Junior World Championships (2016 and 2017)
Veronika Bieleszová: FIE World Rank #1, European Champion, Czeck Republic National Team.
Michaela Joyce, Team World Cup Anchor and Champion (Grenoble 2020) FIE World Rank #7, USA National Team.
Fabrizio Cuomo: European team champion and member of the Italian Junior National team.
Coach Ilya Lobanenkov, CFA Head Coach and Founder. Multiple podium appearances across all USA Fencing Epee events, 2019 Bratislava Cadet Women's epee team Gold and Silver both, Grenoble 2020 Junior Team Gold, USA Fencing Women's Epee Cadet and Junior World Championships team.
